Paremata School - Attitude determines Altitude - Whakapono kia koe

Hey Connor, I hope you are having fun in Australia but unfortunately all good things must come to an end and so, here is some work for you to do in those long, warm spring evenings.

1.  Letter Writing.  We are buddying up with a school in Whitby (England) and are writing to our new friends in a Year 5/6 class.  You will need to write a letter to your new English buddy that introduces yourself, tells them about you, your family, where you live, what you do, what you like and asks them all sorts of questions about them and their life.  Email your letter to me at school by the end of this weekend and I'll add your buddy's name, find some photos of you (or you can email me some from Australia) and print it off ready for sending.

2.  Basic Facts.  It is that time of the term again where we are pushing those basic facts.  You will find the sheets >here<, download, print and complete, more than 80% correct in under 5 minutes for each sheet.  You will enjoy spending 20 minutes a day racing through these.  By the time you get back I'll expect that you'll be able to beat Grace  :-)

3.  This week's homework is >here<, (term 4 week 2, bottom of the list) there is the usual research, maths and brain teasers to keep you thinking after a long day at the beach.

Further work will appear here next week, make sure you get that letter written and emailed to me as soon as possible,

Have Fun,

Mr H,
