Paremata School has been selected as one of nine schools in the Greater Wellington region to become part of Genesis Energy’s Schoolgen programme.

Through Schoolgen we will be receiving:

1.         A 2-kilowatt photovoltaic system (solar panels) installed on the roof of Room 11 at no cost to the school, so our school can generate a portion of our own electricity from the Sun;

2.         A dedicated page on the Schoolgen website (click the link below) – which provides up-to-date data (tables and graphs) recording the amount of electricity we are generating from our solar panels;

3.         Access to free lesson plans, student fact sheets and independent student enquiries; and

4.         Support from an Environmental Educator from Genesis Energy who will work with our teachers and students to develop Schoolgen at Paremata School

We are very excited to be part of Schoolgen as it is a step forward in becoming an environmentally sustainable school.

Schoolgen is brought by Genesis Energy as part of their commitment to corporate social responsibility
