The world's tallest church, the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona has reached its final height of 172.5m with the installation of its last major structural element, a cross atop the central Tower of Jesus Christ, more than 144 years after construction began.

With its brilliant white surface reflecting the searing Spanish sun, the cross that crowns the Tower of Jesus Christ is as tall as a five-storey building and weighs around 100 tonnes. Installing it was a complex, months-long process.

Pope Leo XIV will inaugurate the 18th tower (the other 17 towers are dedicated to the 12 apostles, four Evangelists and the Virgin Mary) on Wednesday, 100 years to the day since the death of the church’s visionary architect, Antoni Gaudí.

Please collect bait from Rm 5 after lunch and check and rebait traps. Remember to wash your hands afterwards.

You are welcome to check traps on other days and deal with any catches.
