FIELD & SENIOR FORT NOTICES

Please don't throw anything over the fence into the

neighbour's properties at any time!

Thanks Matua

Year 5-8 Football/Touch/Flag on the field

When the bell rings, you must leave the field straight away. Not finish your game, have a final play, or "last goal wins". When the bell rings, pick up the ball, and leave the field. The duty teacher should not have to remind you or wait for you to finish your 'final plays'.

This is the same for before school - when the bell rings, go straight to class.

If you continue to hang around after the bell has gone then we will have to have a break from ball sports on the field.

Please do not block the slide or play ball tag or any ball games on the Senior Fort. Ball games are to be played on the field or basketball court instead.

HAVE FUN AT LUNCHTIME AND BE KIND TO EACH OTHER

Thanks

Where is Cam's scooter? He rode it to school LAST Friday and it has disappeared...

SHOUT OUT: To Lace Conroy and Ysabella Stokes who won their syndicate speech finals. All the best at the competition on Friday Lace! Ysabella will be on camp for this one - Represent Paremata Lace!

Patrols

PATROLS

New trainees, you MUST check your school email regularly! This is how people will ask for someone to fill in for them and how I will let you know about any changes. Please also let me know if any of the days you are able to do change. I do not have a crystal ball! If you don't tell me, I don't know.

I have made some changes to the next weeks to take Aleem off and replace him with others, so please check your roster again.

Thank you - Mrs Bassett

Every year, in December, I do a stocktake of all the library books. This means that I scan all the books that the library has in it. This helps to keep the catalogue information up to date, as well keeping an accurate number of books (stock) in the library. I also find out books that are missing and what needs to be reordered.

ALL the library books need to be returned by MONDAY 1st December. Seniors going to camp will need to return their books before camp please.

After this the returns bin will be outside the library for any late returns and a couple of students will be going to classrooms to collect as well.

From Monday 1st – Monday 8th December the library will be CLOSED

The library will be open again for extended hours on the last week of term, from Tuesday 9th – Monday 15th December for Summer Reading Programme issues ONLY.

For more information on the stocktake or SRP visit the  Library Page

Thanks Emma

BOOK OF THE WEEK
Dear Moko : Māori wisdom for our young ones by Hinemoa Elder (Non Fiction 398.9)
Māori child and adolescent psychiatrist Dr Hinemoa Elder has shaped her beloved book Aroha into this special collection of whakataukī and whakatauakī for mokopuna of all ages.

Puanga kai rau.
Puanga, the star signalling a time of the year with plenty of food.
New beginnings.
Dear Moko
is written for all mokopuna, grandchildren, descendents. It is their very own book with stories from whakataukī and whakatauakī, our Māori proverbs. A treasure-book revealing new secrets every time you read it. Some stories will make you smile and laugh out loud. Others invite you to think about difficulties you are facing in a different way. These are timeless words to live by, life lessons to inspire, for generations to come. Manaakitanga (love for each other), kaitiakitanga (respect for our planet), whanaungatanga (community and connectivity) and tino rangatiratanga (self-determination) bring to life our time-honoured values. Dear Moko is destined to be embraced by every whānau.
