Offered through Team C.A.R.T.E.R (Children’s Art, Recreation, Technology, Education and Resilience)
Delivered through Paremata School using the field on fine days and the indoor hall on days when the weather requires it. Are your children interested in sport? Life Skills? School values?
Does active learning work well for your kids? We will be offering this programme starting in term one and each term going throughout the school year. The cost is $15 per day, per child. You must register ahead of time as places are strictly limited and based on and adult to child ratio of 1/10.
Netball
If any year 5-8 students
are interested in playing Netball for Paremata School, this year head to the office
and sign up in March/April. Season starts in term 2 and runs
through to the End of August. All games are played at Ngati Toa Domain, year
5/6 play afternoons and year 7/8 play in the morning.
Without coaches, umpires
and managers we will not be able to compete, so please think about helping out
and contact Theresa for more information. theresar@paremata.school.nz
Kapa Haka
Paremata School has a great group of students who volunteer to be part of the Kapa Haka group and are on display during community events. The practice classes are held in school time on Friday mornings. Best suited for year 4 and up. However year 3 students with siblings in the group are also welcome to join.
Currently Kapa Haka is completed every Friday mornings for Year 1 - 3 students.
Basketball Team
Unfortunately we will not be entering a Basketball team in 2021 for competition at Rangikura School this year due to Covid 19

Paremata Boating Club
Learn to Sail! Our popular learn to sail courses are designed to introduce children aged 10-14 years and their parents to the sport of sailing. Courses start mid January and runs over the three days of Wellington Anniversary weekend plus the following two Sundays (5 days in all). Optimist boats, buoyancy vests and helmets are provided. Kelly Sports
Kelly Sports Porirua is back for 2017 with our B2S Programme. We will be running on a Friday afternoon straight after school, every week throughout the term starting Week 3 of Term 1. Kelly Sports is a great way
to improve your child’s motor skills and co-ordination within throwing, while
improving strength, flexibility, hand/eye coordination and spatial
awareness. With two weeks each of Football, Hockey,
Athletics and Cricket. We teach new skills and improve ability by using games,
