We are so pleased at how we all showed our school values of global awareness and community in such a fun and yummy way!

PATROLS

New trainees, you MUST check your school email regularly! This is how people will ask for someone to fill in for them and how I will let you know about any changes. Please also let me know if any of the days you are able to do change. I do not have a crystal ball! If you don't tell me, I don't know.

I have made some changes to the next weeks to take Aleem off and replace him with others, so please check your roster again.

Thank you - Mrs Bassett

What is the Summer Reading Slide?

The long summer break without reading books and listening to stories can make a big difference to your reading. This is known as the summer reading slide.  You need to read regularly during the break, so that you don’t fall behind in your reading. The good news is that if you read at least four books over the summer this maintains or even increase your reading skills.

How do I join the Summer Reading Programme?

There is a contract to go home that you and your child/children need to sign before the books can be issued. This is a promise to look after the books and return by the end of the first week of Term One 2026. Copies of the contract will be available in class, the library, attached to the newsletter or can be downloaded from the library page on the school webpage.

  • Your child/children must not have any outstanding books.
  • You may borrow up to ten books.
  • You need to find a safe place in your house to keep them. You will be given a bag to help keep them together. You will also have a printed list of the books.
  • The library will be open extended hours after school so you can accompany your child/ren to share in book selection, contracts will be available to sign. Children can also go in class time by arrangement with their teacher – still need your signed contract.
  • The library will be open:-

Tuesday 9th December 10:00am – 5:00pm

Wednesday 10th December     10:00am – 4:30pm

Thursday 11th December       10:00am – 5:00pm

Friday 12th December          10:00am – 4:30pm

Monday 15th December         10:00am – 4:30pm
